Conclusion

Being Elected as our next Business Manager/Financial Secretary will be a privilege I will not take lightly. I know and understand the responsibility and dedication that will come, especially if we want to make major changes in our Local and industries. I know we all have to put in more than what we get out.
This is OUR Union, and we must take ownership over its growth, successes and downfalls.
I want to see our Local and the trades we represent to return to the glory days of the past when we had 90% of the work and 90% of the workers. To get there, it will take the efforts of every member in the field and in the office.
We need to get in front of our Membership, listening and empowering them along the way while continuing to educate the next generation. We will never know how to be better or do better for our Membership if we are not willing to listen and make the changes necessary.
My plan is to bring U back to Union
I may not have Executive Board Experience, but I have been an ear for many Brothers that have sat in these roles.
I have built strong relationships within our IBEW with Business Managers, Organizers, and Representatives from all over Canada and the United States.
I have worked with the Building Trades of Alberta (BTA) and the Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL) through my time as an Organizer.
The Contractors that we work with know who I am and have dealt with me in one form or another.
I am going to continue to build the relationships we have with our current contractors, future contractors, school boards and divisions as well as continue to grow our community efforts.
This is what I would love to see and the reasons I feel that I am the best candidate for the Business Manager/Financial Secretary position.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
